Y. Vijay Rao has been a People and Human Resources leader for over 25 years starting his career in HR at Perkin Elmer and eventually moving to Microsoft to lead a 5-year global recruiting system and process transformation at Microsoft. Vijay left Microsoft to build People Operations at Facebook, scaling the company from 2K to over 90K+ employees and contingent workers while establishing a hybrid GBS model to support multiple G&A functions as well as leading overall employee experience. Vijay is currently SVP, People at Okta which is a high growth company and Vijay leads several functions: Total Rewards, People Business Partners, People Operations, People Compliance, , Global Mobility, Immigration, Recruiting Operations, Workforce Planning, People Analytics, Shared Services, and HRIS. Vijay is PMP and is Six Sigma Greenbelt certified
