Global Head of GBS Record to Report British American Tobacco (BAT)

Tejjashree (Shree) is presently the Global Head of GBS Record to Report (R2R) at BAT, a role she has held since April 2024, leading a global team of over 850 people across 6 shared services hubs. Shree joined BAT in 2022 as their Chief Internal Auditor for Regional Operations, GBS and Technology and was also responsible for launching several innovations and new ways of working including an extensive suite of audit data analytics. Shree has over 19 years of cross industry experience, and prior to BAT, has held senior leadership roles in the areas of Business Consulting, Risk Advisory and Internal Audit in 3 out of the Big 4 Accounting Firms and several top-tier global financial services institutions including NatWest Group, Barclays, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse across the three lines of defence. She has also been the transformation programme manager working in the first line of defence in a Tier 1 Investment Bank to lead the implementation of Electronic and Algorithmic Trading Controls for MIFID II regulatory compliance in the UK. Through her various roles, Shree has developed deep expertise in the areas of process optimisation and re-design, enterprise-wide transformation and risk management, internal auditing, corporate governance, cyber security, enterprise data management, and enabling an organisation’s digitalisation/automation/innovation activities. She is multi-skilled in both business & technology, with a strong track record of successfully developing the workforce with data analytics, technology and business skills “Fit for the Future”. She is a Member of the ISACA SheLeadsTech Global Steering Committee, member of the ISACA Nominations Committee, a Diversity and Inclusion champion at BAT, and is a cross industry mentor for Women in Business, Risk, Audit and Cyber Security professionals. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from India and is a qualified CMIIA (Chartered Internal Auditor) from the Global Institute of Internal Auditors.
