Chantel is an accomplished professional with a passion for optimizing organizational structures and processes while fostering meaningful relationships. Her journey has been shaped by diverse experiences, and she thrives on designing and implementing organizational change that makes a lasting and sustainable impact. As the Director of Shared Services at the University of Saskatchewan, Chantel partners with Dean’s and senior college leaders on the delivery of a shared services in human resources, finance, facilities, and project management through the leadership and oversight of the business partner advisory teams in each area. Chantel believes that relationships are the foundation of success and will share her experiences implementing the Strategic Business Advisor model, celebrating successes and overcoming challenges along the way. Chantel will also share insights into a major transformational change initiative currently underway and the University of Saskatchewan, Administrative Services Renewal, which reimagines how business services are delivered across vice-presidential portfolios, colleges, and schools. By strengthening our administrative environment, we enhance the overall experience for faculty, staff, students, and leaders. Chantel has been asked to speak on this initiative in Canada, the UK, and the United States. Prior to the University of Saskatchewan, Chantel spent almost ten years working for the provincial Government of Saskatchewan as the Director of Administrative Services, overseeing the functional areas of administration, financial payment processing, capital planning, emergency social services, and business continuity. Chantel has also spent time as a sessional lecturer at the University of Saskatchewan, teaching classes on services marketing and business administration. Chantel has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. She also holds a project management professional (PMP) certification. She spends her free time traveling, and attending sporting events for her two girls who are eleven and nine.
