Dan Melchior is currently the first-ever Director – Shared Services at San Diego State University and the first one in California State University’s twenty-three campus system. A first-generation Shared Services leader, he has thirty years’ experience designing, building, implementing, and optimizing Shared Services and Global Business Services Centers. Dan has worked for Southern Wine & Spirits, Best Buy, Luxottica, Universal Music Group and McCormick & Company, all in a Shared Services capacity as well as advising hundreds of clients as a consultant. He is the author of Shared Services – A Manager’s Journey (John Wiley & Sons).
