Over the last three decades, Samir has been at the leading edge of transforming business concepts into reality at Fortune 500 corporations. He started his career as an Industrial Engineer working in the areas of Lean, Six Sigma and Process Control at Westinghouse in 1989; then Profitability Modeling, Activity Based Costing and Balanced Scorecard at KPMG in mid 1990s, working with Harvard Business School thought leaders Dr Robert Kaplan and Robin Cooper. While working in Supply Chain and Finance; Samir identified early management trends in follow the sun approach, process automation, continuous improvement and customer experience to pioneer what is now known as Shared Services. Over the last 15 years he has been part of leading global business transformation and shared services at corporations such as ADM, Delphi and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Samir engages with academic institutions and community groups in advisory roles, especially focused on bridging cultures globally. He is part of the Global Advisory Board at SSON and a frequent contributor.
