Shilinda Johnson has been with The University of Alabama since 2011, holding various leadership roles throughout her tenure. Since 2021, she has served as the Director of Finance & Operations Business Services, where she oversees high-level accounting functions and acts as the Chief Business Officer for Finance and Operations Shared Administrative Services. In this capacity, Shilinda manages business operations for multiple units, provides financial leadership, and collaborates with the Assistant Vice President to improve efficiency and profitability. She also directs several department heads and partners and work with legal teams and external consultants to develop and implement business plans. Before joining the University, Shilinda spent over a decade in the insurance industry, working with companies such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and American General.
