JTI has been growing its presence in the Philippine market since its establishment in 2000. It established its GBS center in the year 2020 to help the market grow further in Taguig City. The launch of the GBS Manila has helped them to grown steadily and establish itself as a global multi-function GBS, supporting the country in addressing unemployment, as they continued to hire individuals amidst the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Today, GSM is made up of over 1,000 employees who provide a multitude of services to Baker McKenzie's member firms across the world in the areas of technology, finance, admin operations, business development and marketing, human resources, and knowledge management, among others. Its success served as the blueprint for the establishment of Baker McKenzie's three other current shared service centers across the globe.
