VP and Head of Strategy, Process Excellence & Innovation Takeda

Vice President Strategy, Process Excellence and Innovation Vanessa Gleason is the Vice President of Strategy, Process Excellence and Innovation within Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) for Takeda Pharmaceutical. Vanessa is responsible for identifying and directing the implementation of TBS initiatives targeted at creating a world class shared services organisation. This includes TBS Strategy, Program and Transition Management, Change Management, Global Process Ownership, Data, Digital and Automation, and Process Mining. As well as her core role, Vanessa is also the Global co-Lead for Takeda’s Gender Parity Network. Prior to joining Takeda, Vanessa held various shared services, transformation, and procurement roles with AkzoNobel, Rio Tinto, Parmalat, and the Australian government. Vanessa has international experience, having worked in Australia, the UK, Singapore, Netherlands, and is now based in Switzerland with her husband and son. Vanessa graduated from the University of Queensland, Australia, with a Masters in International Business, and undergraduate degrees in Business and Political Science. Vanessa also holds an MCIPS qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
