I recently conducted a seminar for entrepreneurs that included sessions on organization, staffing, and facilities. In preparing for the seminar I thought back to when I first started my company, in 2000. At that time I followed the model of having traditional employees, but my consulting staff traveled and did not need a formal central office. Today my model is one where all of my "employees" are virtual, they are really sub-contractors, and I still have no formal central office.
