Guy Fawkes Failed in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 - Here's What's Failing today

Sometimes fate gets in the way of disaster – other times it fans the flames. In the case of poor "Guido" Fawkes – who knows? Killing off a Protestant King to make way for a Catholic monarch may have seemed a good idea at the time, but as things turned out, it was Guy, not King James, who perished.
