Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) has established itself as one of the most efficient ways for businesses of all sizes to handle the difficulties associated with finding, hiring, and managing top talent today. Working with an RPO not only makes your operations more efficient, but it also gives you access to the knowledge and resources you need to recruit the best candidates for the appropriate jobs, at the right times.
Charlie is an expert in optimization and stabilization and has managed teams of Recruiters, Recruitment Coordinators, and Admins to provide high-quality candidate sourcing, screening, administration support, and full-cycle recruitment for RPO programs.
What are some of the unifying factors in the recruitment process across different geographical regions?
While in the majority of cases, the recruitment process looks the same – a short market in terms of talent – there are some differences from region to region, Charlie says. “There are regions that are slower to adapt to the ongoing hybrid setup, which is a topic that's very consistent. Right now, everybody's trying to cope with the requirement for digitalization and ensuring that their organizations are hybrid-friendly in terms of what the talent is looking for. The reason for that slower adaptation to hybrid in some regions is because the employer hasn't really figured out what their work strategy is. Because it is dependent on the leaders going to the region, and the market itself, so that the wider organization has a better idea of the specifics on the ground, and figures out what is the right combination for the hub and spoke model.
And other than hybrids, COVID-19 has impacted the majority of us in terms of mental wellness. That's a topic that's very important for GBS organizations to focus on.”
What are GBS organizations most commonly looking for when outsourcing? Different Delivery Models
The Outsourcing Model: Labor cost arbitrage is the main component of this strategy. It entails you entering into a contract with an outside organization that specializes in the work you need completed.
The Shared Services Centers/Organizations (SSC/SSO) Model: By retaining internal, and centralizing primarily back-office tasks, this paradigm decreases complexity. Global or local shared services centers can be established, and they can either be centralized or decentralized.
The Global Business Services (GBS) Model: The GBS approach provides the internal team and the involved external stakeholders with best-in-class service. It is a new paradigm created from the evolution of shared services and business process outsourcing together.
Many global organizations are primarily looking for the capability to source and find candidates with ease as their capacity waxes and wanes. That's where companies like Page Outsourcing can channel their experience. “Where organizations struggle is finding and attracting the talent. And other than employer branding, it's the strategy that makes the biggest difference. We heavily rely on our strategic expertise and experience to serve our clients. One concern for many GBS leaders is flexibility. Our flexing scale capability makes sure that if your volume goes up, our company will be able to provide the resources the organizations need, and if it goes down, then we are flexible enough to scale down with it. So, we embed ourselves in the client's DNA, ensuring that we understand what the organizations need and make an assessment,” explains Charlie.
