While automation has been actively deployed within GBS and shared services for nearly a decade, its early wins were measured mainly via common transactional metrics of cost, speed, and quality. Today, those ideas are being left far behind. Instead, the potential of automation is being measured in terms of what it can do or will do for enterprise value.
