Add bookmarkWhere are you in the analytics journey?
Shared services analytics have the potential to deliver far more than just 'improved efficiencies' within the SSO or GBS model.
If done correctly, these analytics can be used to identify new market opportunities, enable operational agility, develop leading-edge talent management programs and create innovative customer experiences.
By building advanced analytics and data mining capabilities into their competency, Shared Services can establish themselves as much more than the transactional service provider of yesterday.
Enter the new SSO: a strategic powerhouse within the business
In this interactive PREZI presentation, we list the 5 levels of SSO analytics maturity – from foundational to cognitive. If you are not already familiar with them then this is a great time to change that.
You can click on each level to recognizewhere you fall – but more importantly, where you need to go in order to realize the full potential of advanced analytics for shared services.
For example: 'Predictive' analytics uses many techniques from data mining, statistics, modeling, machine learning and AI. Those at this level of maturity leverage simulation/scenario planning, often through a cross-functional analytics Center of Expertise. Climb the value chain via GBS or a functional specialization.
Additional highlights include:
- Differences between foundational, descriptive, predictive, prescriptive and cognitive analytics maturity levels
- How are advanced analytics concepts like decision automation, analytics COEs, simulation/scenario planning, and machine learning disrupting shared services?
